      1. Will there be a novel about the first god arcanist war? It will absolutely thrilling for us to have a series about how warlord Luvi defeated other god arcanists.

  1. What do you think would have happened if volke lost. What would the autarch have done to gain world dominance and potentially kill the apoch dragon?

    1. I think the Autarch would’ve gotten the world serpent, and then he would’ve been a little too powerful to stop, and would’ve eventually defeated the other god-arcanists. Whether he beat the apoch dragon, though… Not sure about that! But maybe.

    1. I guess it depends on what you mean? Currently, I think my favorite song is “Beware the Forest Mushrooms” from Mario RPG. If you’re talking “real” songs, then I like “Indestructible” by Disturbed. If you mean music I’ve listened to the most, I’d say violin music of video game battle themes, lol

      1. Hello Mrs Stovall as I said before I’m a huge fan of your books, and I’ve noticed that you have quite the community here on your newsletter, and I thought of an idea for a game that I think would be fun to play for your audience.

I wanted to know all 112 steps of the pillar and I noticed that not all of the steps have been completed, so I thought it would be fun if we were to put up what steps or have already been completed and then fill in the blanks. People could think of virtues that arcanists could live by, and then the ones that you think are the best could be added to the pillar and complete the 112 steps!

Let me know what you think whenever you have a moment thank you!

  3. Hi… me and my brother are making this book… We loved your arcanist-eldrin world so much we couldn’t get it out of our heads, so we created a book about your world with us as the main characters. It’ll be a couple more weeks before it’s finished, so is it okay if you checked our story to see if you approve?

    1. Legally speaking, I can’t comment on fanfiction, I apologize! I’m very happy to hear you and your brother enjoyed the world. What mystical creatures did you bond with?

My brother bonds with a Leviathan after going through treacherous whirlpools to reach an island and escaping near death when Ben, the fisher boy, cheats on the trial of worth (Leadership)

  5. If the Frith Chronicles ever made its way to TV in your mind what format would it be? Would it be Live Action , Animated or maybe even Anime?

Just a fun thought and curious on your take.

    1. If I just got to pick, I would go with anime first! I love that art style, and I can’t get enough. If the series was done by western animators, I would hope for something close to The Last Airbender for style. Live-action is my least favorite of the three options. o.o (What would you pick?)

      Like

      1. I’ve seen many Light Novels become great Anime. Live Action would be cool but if it doesn’t have a huge budget it would be a huge disappointment because this world would needs lots of CGI to capture all of the Magic and if I had to settle for second I guess I would go with western animation. So it looks like I’m right there with ya.

  8. Hi Shami – I’ve read all of the firth guild and Astra academy (except book three). I’m curious if you ever mentioned what the two accepted answers are for MOS in other to pass the trial of worth. I don’t know if I missed it but I’ve been curious what the two accepted answers are since that was first mentioned.
Hopefully you can share the secret?

    1. Ack! I didn’t see this until someone responded. And they responded correctly! Mimics need you to not be afraid of MOS. As a matter of fact, all the mimic requirements for power gain) including their true form, deal with fear in one way or another. o.o

    1. All mimics in my universe have a base form that is cat-like. The reason is because I joked with my husband that mimics were little “copycats” and since then, I always picture them as cats whenever they’re not shifted into something else. As for the mimic true form: I do know what it looks like! And it’ll be in the Special Edition Bestiary, along with the books (but I don’t want to spoil anything!)

  9. After reading Abyssal arcanist it got me thinking, are there any other 9 pointed star aldrin aside from MOS? I do think there are a possibility that at least two more exist being as how the abyssal hells haven’t yet been explored that much and the sheer size of the archaist world.

    1. There are more unique creatures! The Keeper of Corpses is one of them, but there are others beyond that. I can’t wait for more exploration of the abyssal hells! ❤

    1. Hey there! I’m so glad you enjoyed Abyssal Arcanist. That really makes my day!! (Please consider leaving a review). As for the question… My favorite ALL TIME book is Stranger in a strange Land, by Robert Heinlein. However, it’s a deep sci-fi book about philosophy, and not a fun adventure, lol. My favorite books that are ADVENTURES, are probably Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson series, Cradle series, Dresden Files series, and… an assassin series I read when I was younger, but can never remember the name of. o.o (I love all of them, lol – and also Watership Down! And Dragonriders of Pern. And maybe a little Black Jewels trilogy in there, too. And the Thrawn trilogy.) I could go on forever. >.>

    1. Hey there! Doppelgangers evoke certain emotions, and their marionette aura allows them to control several people at once. o.o (Not sure what the other question is, though…) But I’m so glad you’re enjoying the books! That really makes my day.

  12. Here I was scrolling through Reddit before bed and I see a post on the Frith Chronicles subreddit not even realizing it contained spoilers about the new Abyssal Arcanist book (it stated it had spoilers I was just clueless and clicked without thought).

I opened the post, read half a sentence, still in my own clueless world, went down to the comments and saw that you had commented and were happy they had enjoyed it.

Which then led me to to google to find your newsletter, and to now (me realizing book #3 came out on the 29th) and preparing to stay up reading it for half the night.

The 31st has just begun but my day is already made. Cheers to you, time to get to reading. Thank you for creating this wonderful world to escape to. 🙂

    1. Hello there! I’m so happy to hear you enjoy the Frith Chronicles (and Astra Academy!). I actually got the idea for the Frith Chronicles while playing Dungeons and Dragons. My husband and I made our OWN version of DnD, and I wanted to have a magical creature bonding element (because I like things like Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, etc.) so I designed a bonding system and magics for it. I love it so much, in fact, I wrote Knightmare Arcanist! (Hopefully that answers your question – but if you have more, just send them over!)

      1. Wait you and your husband have your own ttrpg that essentially gave birth to the arcanist world?! I would 100% buy any rule book you publish cause DAMN I love the way they bond and grow together. Always figured it would be a good dnd mechanic especially for 3.5 and pf.

  17. Having read through Frith Chronicles and now all 3 Astra Academy books I am left hungering for more D: I can’t wait for death lord arcanist, do hope Deimos goes anti-hero, have some of that Gray optimism bleed into his soul so he isn’t so murder happy. Wonder who the new abyssal dragon arcanists will be though, not gray plz, we can’t have twain pull a Luthair.

Random question…what IS a True Dread form creature capable of? I have half a feeling Luthair is on par with true form dragons after that massive upgrade. Hope Twain can go dread true form too.

    1. Hey there~! I’m hoping Death Lord will be out by the end of the year (hopefully, hopefully) and I’m so glad you’re enjoying! As for your questions: yes, the dread form has empowered Luthair! And the arcane plague was cured after the Frith Chronicles, so Twain having the same such turn of events is almost impossible. However, I think you’re going to enjoy where the story goes, so keep your eyes peeled for the next installment of the story! o.o

  22. This may or may not be answered in a future Academy Arcanist book, but if a true form mimic transformed into a regular eldrin would the mimic still be regular or would it be a true form of whatever it is mimicking?

  23. The arcanist series including the academy books are by far my favorite books of all time. I find myself almost inside the universe of arcanist as I read, I occasionally will find myself smiling, laughing, or anxious over what happens next. I am looking forward to your next academy series book. You are a great author and forever will cherish having read your books.
Also I have a question I noticed luthair is alive again and I was wondering how that came to be? If it was mentioned somewhere I must have missed it or if it will be revealed later on, but I’m glad he’s back by Volkes side.

    1. Hey there! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my Arcanist books. That means the world to me. As for your question: (and this is spoilers!) but Luthair was resurrected by the Soul Forge when Theasin attacked Thronehold. All the creatures who were dead (but still had pieces around) were revived, as seen by the king basilisks. Hopefully that answers yours question!

      1. Ah I remember that now, now my questioned turned to how did Bonding to him again after the world serpent affect volke and his magic or did it not affect him at all

      2. Also Luthair is the only true form dread form creature in existence. That is why the random red surge from his arcanist mark happens, he has the power up from both and none of the penalties. Still hope to see them merge and dance with a death lord and just show off his insane overpowered state.
