  1. Thank you Shami so much for your amazing books, both Astra academy and Frith chronicles were pieces of art. I could not put down Mimic arcanist even if I tried, absolutely amazing.

      1. Hey, your books are absolutely amazing and you’ve written them in a way where there are infinite possibilities. Hate to come off like an addict but like 30 more frith chronicle books would be heavily appreciated lol.
        But seriously thank you for your work, it was a pleasure reading every book.

  3. I loved mimic arcanist so much and it was an amazing read. The nostalgia of the earlier frith chronicles books is incredible and I hope you turn Astra academy into a similarly epic tale. Also I know you were planning for your bibliography to drop after mimic arcanist. Any timeframe for when that would hit the shelves?

The Bestiary – and I have been looking into finishing the text inside, and perhaps starting a Kickstarter to make it a truly epic book with lots of artwork inside, perhaps stats for table-top gaming, and lore around the creatures. Fingers crossed! it’ll take a lot of work, but I think it’ll be cool. o.o

      3. Crown Tournament is an upcoming series co-written with Ryan Tang. It’s set in a different location than any other series, and follows a young boy who is bonded to a kirin. o.o (Abyssal Arcanist is the sequel to Mimic Arcanist, and should be out soon, lol)

    1. I would say I love writing both, lol – I know that’s a cheap answer, but I love them for different reasons? Also, it’s like asking someone who their favorite child is. You can’t pick one! They’re all special and precious. Volke is a knight, unironically good, and Gray is someone sarcastic (who wants you to think he doesn’t care, but he really does care) and those are just great personalities to write. ❤

      (BUT, my favorite character to write of all time is Bitso. LOL )

    1. Depends on how much artwork I get! If I do a kickstarter, and we get enough funding, I’ll get artwork for every creature in the books, plus their true forms. But if not, only a handful will get all the artwork needed! o.o (But probably the rizzel, lol – I do love them)

  12. Wow incredible series! Love the intertwining storyline of Volke in mimic Arcanist, absolute gem of a book. I do have a question though. When they competed in finding the ore the prize was a trinket that prevented Raaza from getting cold. However later it is mentioned he was shivering? Was he just not wearing the bracelet? Also- sorry for such a specifically odd question, your writing is incredible!

    1. No, it’s fine! Depending on the scene, he might not have had it. Trinkets are valuable, and you wouldn’t want to lose them on a camping trip. o.o (Glad you enjoyed the books!)

  14. Hi Shami, love all of your books! What is the difference in the knightmare markings? Volke had a sword and cape, however Evianna and Sorin have a shield and cape. Last question, what is a leviathan’s aura? Thank you for creating a world I can immerse myself in!

  23. i just got done reading al the arcanists book(for like the 100th time lol) and i love the books they are one of the best books ive read and im planing on making like this lore chart i have 2 questions what would a king bassalisk true forms virtue/gea be? and will you make a frith chronicles arc 3?(im reading all the books on kindle unlimited )
    cant wait for beasteary!

    1. For right now, just in the Kickstarter. I’m using the funding to pay for the artwork and formatting. Perhaps sometime in the future it’ll come on it’s own to Amazon, but I’ll need to make a separate Amazon version for it.

    1. Hey there! The Kickstarter will go live on June 27. I’ll have limited number tiers for creatures (for logistical reasons) Everyone who picks a creature tier will get artwork of their creature, and it does take the artist time to produce, type of thing. BUT, I will also just have book only tiers, and some fun extra things, like bookmarks and posters. ❤

    1. Hey there! When I was younger, my mother moved us around a lot, and I was quite poor. We never attended church of any kind. As an adult, I’ve attended several services of multiple denominations and faiths, and during my BA in History, I took several classes on the religion. When people ask me, I generally reply with “agnostic” since I have yet to find my personal answer. Hopefully some day! ❤

    1. The Bestiary, right now, is on Kickstarter. Perhaps someday in the future, it’ll be made into a stand-alone novel, but for now, it’s just with the special edition!

    2. Hey there! As for the plague creatures question, they don’t “work for” the Autarch, they’re just driven mad by the plague, and act destructively. In book 2 (dread Pirate) you can see they are carrying around a plague-ridden gargoyle, because the Autarch’s plan was to spread disease and sickness. He gave these creatures to pirates so they could unleash them and cause havoc. Just like (SPOILERS) with Luthair. He was unleashed to cause destruction. So, again, “work for” isn’t really the right term. They were like animals being unleashed. Hopefully that clears things up!

  41. Hello! I’ve really enjoyed your astra academy series, and am looking forward to going into the Frith Chronicles (a bit backwards, found Astra Academy on audible).   42. Do you know what’ll happen after abyssal arcanist. I do have to say I’d be disappointed if the god creatures come back in the series just because it’s already happened. I do want to know why Volkes arcanist mark flashes read.

  49. Would a true form reaper gain life sense like a grim reaper sense it seems to not currently have that. Or would it gain the death touch of a grim reaper or just something new entirely?

    1. Hey there! Technically, my Patreons can get the bookmark, and if I have extra of the poster, I’ll announce it on my Facebook group, but otherwise, I wasn’t planning on getting tons of extras (so probably not selling them). HOWEVER, there will be a backerkit for the Kickstarter, meaning before the book goes to print, there will be one last chance to your hands on all the goodies (including the bonus stuff, like bookmarks and posters!)
