      1. Did Prince Rishan’s Knightmare form at the end of book 5? Who would get his Knightmare? Since technically he was king of the empire.

  5. When Volke exited the World Serpent’s lair, did he collect the star shards that were inside. From the description, all the star shards could made hundreds of artifacts.

      No, the world serpent doesn’t shed his scales, but he can remove a few to give to people (or they can be torn off). I hope that answered your question!

    1. No, Shami has confirmed that Knightmares are only born when rulers are assassinated, one of them dying legitimately in a duel like Rishan did does not cause one to form.

  15. I really love this series along with the cradle series,I really wanna know if volke ever will get his warlord serpent in true form or is the legendary creature already in true form,or if the other will get god like creatures cause looks like the enemy has that in the bag from arcanist fables

    1. Hey there! To answer your questions:
      (1) I can’t answer that! Spoilers.
      (2) If he did return, he COULD bond with Volke, if Volke un-bonded to the world serpent (or if Volke had a kirin)
      (3) Yes, as knightmares age, they get more armor
      (4) The Grandmaster Inquisitor voluntarily stayed bonded. He claimed it made him a better arcanist, but whether he was harmed or not is unknown. His knightmare was not true form.

  20. I just finished binge listening to the series on audible. I couldn’t stop it was amazing. I loved how the magic worked and how unique everyone and every magical creature was. I look forward to as many books in this series as you can write. the only question I have at this point is how did this beautiful world you have created come to you?

  21. Hello. If a Phoenix gained it’s True form can it revive someone from a object that they held dear Or their Blood. Like if Calisto died (example here sorry cant think of anyone else)
    And His blood was on his shirt could that Phoenix revive him? Also if a Plauge Ridden arcanist dies and they get revived do they still have the Plauge? Thanks!

    1. In theory, a phoenix would need a piece of the person (something a little more physical than blood). If someone was revived with the phoenix, they wouldn’t have the plague, no.

  23. Big Fan of the Frith Chronicles and can’t wait for Warlord Arcanist. I do have one question if it is not to much of a spoiler. Would you be able to release the names of the other god-arcanists titles? Like the The Warlord and The Scholor

  24. Hi Shami, I really enjoyed the books, I have some unconventional world building related questions-

    There’s never a mention of the characters going to the bathroom or relieving themselves, or taking a bath. So what’s the hygiene situation like? Do they have bathrooms in the Guild house? Plumbing? Or do people use chamber pots and basins?

    Another thing that confuses me is all the characters seem to be bi and I can’t really tell their preferences like Adelgis and Hexa, is Volke bi too? How do same sex couples have kids other than adopting, is there some types of arcanist who can help with that?

    That’s all the weird questions for now! Please do answer them if you have the time, thanks!

    3. Hello Arthur!

      Some characters are bi, but not all. Volke is not, but Hexa and Adelgis are. Other canon sexuality include: Zelfree (gay), Calisto (bi), Zaxis (straight), and Illia (straight). As for the alternative to adoption question, I suppose there could be magical ways around that (since the world deals with shapeshifters, there could be magical items [likely artifacts] that would allow for changes to he body to remain more permanent). However, while these questions are interesting, the novels likely won’t have a situation that involves the need to answer them. Hopefully this helped you, however!

      So you bring back Luthair And you give him to the Second Accention. If Luthair becomes a Bad guy would Volke have to kill him? Could he convince Luthair he was his previous arcanist and get him back with a Gold Kirkin? And would Volke take the Destructive Or Creative path with the World Serpent?

  27. Discovered your books on audible. Brian Wiggins does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. I got wrapped up in the story so much that I bought additional monthly credits for the first time because I could not wait to hear what happen next.

    I’ve seen other sites/posting? that you might eventually do book signings? If you do please make this information as public as possible. I definitely plan to invest in hard copies so that I can share the story with my son and a signed copy would make it an extra bonus for him.

  30. I came across your series while looking for something “different ” to read. Normally shifter /romance. After the first few pages of Knightmare Arcanist, I was intrigued. In fact, I was very surprised by my need to keep reading.! Your characters are fascinating. Your stories are thought provoking as well as entertaining. That said, I am wondering if Zelfree’s mimic can achieve true form? Traces technically has magic only if around other eldrin. Maybe I am thinking about this incorrectly?

  41. I just had a thought and I can’t shake it off— but if a knightmare arcanist monarch was merged with their knightmare, and then they got assassinated while still merged, would they still form a knightmare? And what would it look like 🤔

  45. Hey, Shami i have an idea. What if you made the entire Frith chronicles into an Open world game with like character customization and you can bond with any Eldrin? and there can be events so if like for example an NPC King character was Murdered a Knightmare would spawn? or Like an NPC child drowning to make an Eathrel whelk? and it could be Multiplayer too!

      2. You brought him back. Thanks now Is there any way for Volke to gain Luthair back again? Is Luthair True Form? If Volke has to kill him what would Volke do? Why are you leaving me on a Cliff hanger I may just join the Patron to get Chapters of The Master Arcanist early.
        And if Volke got a Gold Kirkin Could he Bond with it? Seeing as he is already Bonded? If Volke does get a Gold Kirkin what would Volkes other 2 Eldrin be?

  48. BEWARE SPOILERS. I have two questions abt warlord arcanist. 1. At the end of world serpent arcanist terrakona tells volke that their lives are linked. When one dies the other dies. But in the new book Odion talks about second bonding to terrakona and when Theasin dies the soul forge does not. 2. At the end of world serpent arcanist adelgis tells volke that he can no longer hear volkes thoughts but then he can in warlord arcanist.

    1. Hey there! Here are the answers (SPOILERS):
      1. Odion isn’t aware of how the god-creatures work. Also, the soul forge does die. Rhys “saved” the dying creature so they can have the body. Apparently, I didn’t make this clear enough (as several people have asked) and for that, I apologize!
      2. In Arcanist Fables, Adelgis attunes himself to the god-creatures enough to effect them with his magic, which is how he’s locating them in Warlord, and why he can once again hear Volke’s thoughts. I thought (though I can’t remember the chapter) Volke does think about this fact for a single sentence. It’s not plot pivotal, just worldbuilding pivotal, so it wasn’t stressed in the book.
      Overall, I hope you enjoyed!

  50. i had the hardcover edition of warlord arcanist in my cart on amazon, waiting for payday, but now it says it’s no longer available. is it going to be back at some point or will i have to buy the paperback instead?
